Fertility treatment can be difficult enough for couples, but add to that a workplace that doesn't just misunderstand it, but also makes it more stressful. That's not what a good employer should be doing.
It's important to remember for employers that fertility treatment is more common than many realise. It is just not spoken about very much by those going through it. A good employer however will understand that sometimes an employee needs their workplace to understand that this is a difficult process and they need support from the employer.
This support can take many forms but it all ensures that each employee is treated with the respect they deserve. This article in the Law Gazette illustrates some of the challenges employees can face when dealing with an employer that makes it so much more difficult than it should be.
